Automobilista 2: V0.9.2.1 mit langer Liste an Verbesserungen

(MST/Speedmaniacs.de) - Schon vom direkten Vorgänger sind Simracer durch Reiza Studios einen umfangreichen Service in Form von Updates gewohnt. Auch in der Early-Access-Phase von Automobilista 2 setzt man diesen Weg fort. Die neue Version 0.9.2.1 kommt mit einer langen Liste an Verbesserungen und Korrekturen daher. Schwerpunkt der seit Freitagabend bereitstehenden Version sind Überarbeitungen in den Bereichen Force Feedback, Physik und AI. Über alle Bereiche hinweg gibt es Optimierungen und Bugfixes.
Außerdem steht nun eine Option zum Speichern von Replays, neue Optionen im HUD und Gameplay-Features sowie die erste Überarbeitung des Beleuchtungsmodells nun mit HDR und Klimaänderungen bereit. Als Konsequenz der Bemühungen AMS2 noch besser und realistischer zu machen, ist vor der Version 1.0 noch eine weitere Runde Force Feedback-Überarbeitungen geplant. Mit der aktuellen Version sollen Bremsplatten die durch stehende Räder beim Bremsen entstanden sind mit Hochleistungsslicks besser bemerkbar machen.
Um aus den jüngsten Bemühungen der Entwickler das Beste herauszuholen, wird empfohlen die FahrzeugSet-ups zurückzusetzen. Veränderungen der Fahrzeugeinstellungen werden regulär automatisch gespeichert und geladen. Um zu vermeiden, dass alte, inkompatibl Einstellungen verwendet werden, sollten Racer in V0.9.2.1 das Set-up-Menü aufrufen und "reset to default" auswählen. Eine andere Möglichkeit besteht darin ein neues Spielerprofil zu erstellen. Hierzu reicht es den lokalen Docs/Automobilista 2-Ordner zu löschen. Damit einhergehend werden alleerdings auch alle generellen Spieleinstellungen gelöscht.

FORCE FEEDBACK
-FFB calculations now account for any change in caster trail and scrub radius, with improved braking feel, overall smoother output and better weight transfer feel
-Fixed issues with FFB spiking and occasionally producing strong jolts when wheels loose contact with ground (load loss) and added filtering to smoothen out abrupt transitions
-When front tyres are not loaded FFB will now present only gyroscopic torque, fixing bug that could cause steering to get very heavy in some airborne situations
-Improved parking force function
PHYSICS
-Thoroughly revised tyre physics for all cars
-Revised FFB values for all cars to suit new tyre physics and FFB developments
-Fixed error in Ultima Race / P1 tyre treads resulting in a much faster hard tyre compound;
-Added initial implementation of Push-to-Pass rules and functionalities for Stock Car V8 (still missing first lap block, 5s delay between pressing button and boost deployment, windshield LEDs for boost use/availability)
